The lodge is located in the central part of the Dinokeng Game Reserve (DGR). The DGR is collaborative conservation initiative between the private and public sectors hosting possibly the only free roaming big 5 population within the urban edge of a major metropolitan area in the world. A truly unique opportunity to invest in one of the trending wildlife destinations in South Africa. The DGR is located only 45km north of Pretoria and some 2 hours’ drive from OR Tambo International Airport. The Big 5 were progressively introduced from 2011 with the latest additions spotted hyena and black rhino (in 2018) to complete the total Big 5 experience. The DGR is a blossoming wildlife tourism destination attracting tourist not only from Gauteng but also further afield.

Luxurious elegance with subtle African design touches – an exquisite Big 5 lodge for the discerning of taste in the heart of the DGR. The lodge is an idyllic destination with 5 beautifully appointed rooms – all with en-suite bathrooms (combinations of bath, shower, toilet and vanity) and all with aircon. Three suites form part of the main lodge, whilst the others are in 2 log cabins. It is also perfect for intimate functions and corporate event and can be booked in its entirety.

Amenities include the main lodge - 3 suites attached to the managers’ cottage (2 bedrooms, open plan kitchen, bathroom (shower, bath, toilet and vanity) and family room with an attached carport, reception area), two log cabins with en-suite bathrooms (shower, toilet and vanity) and deck areas to enjoy an early morning coffee. Also a fully fitted industrial kitchen (gas appliances) with an adjoining thatched restaurant and dining area, lapa with bar and built-in braai, boma with fire pit to while away those long summer evenings, sparkling swimming pool and play area (jungle gym) for children. Landscaped garden with shady mature bushveld trees, a dam and manicured lawns. Irrigation.
The lodge area is fenced with an electrified fence (some 3.8ha) with an electric gate, 10 carports and a strong borehole. Servants’ quarters. The lodge has approval to increase the number of beds to 20 and new development sites have already been identified within the fenced area and have been provided with electricity and water.
