The surrounding bushveld is a typical savannah landscape dotted with mature bushveld trees – amongst others Silver Cluster Leaf, Thorn trees, African Weeping Willows and Buffalo Thorn as well as a variety of shrubs including raisin bush and sickle bush.
During my tenure at Gauteng Conservation I was instrumental in the development of the NEGI project which lead to the establishment of the Dinokeng Game Reserve.
